SDARFC SPONSORS
The financial obligations of the San Diego Armada Rugby Football Club (SDARFC) are met through the collection of yearly player dues and ongoing fundraising events, but we are always looking for additional donations from local individuals, businesses and organizations. These donations may be used to offset the operating costs of the team – equipment purchase, field rentals, organizational dues/registration fees; to help defray the membership dues for players who have financial hardships; to offset the cost of team travel to matches and tournaments and to help support other organizations within the community as part of our charitable donations program. The SDARFC donates portions of its yearly funds to local charitable organizations such as the Gay & Lesbian Center and local Boys and Girls Clubs; and actively supports other community organizations through volunteerism and donations.

Demographically, rugby players and their fans are well-educated professionals, who are affluent and extremely loyal to corporate supporters of the game. Rugby in Southern California is the fastest growing sport among youth and adult teams, and the Southern California Rugby Football Union is one of the fastest growing local unions in the country.

The SDARFC is a 501(c)7 (non-profit, public benefit) corporation. Currently, contributions to the SDARFC are tax-deductible as an investment expense to the extent allowable by current law, but are not considered a charitable donation.

The club actively seeks sponsors for 2006 and will accept in-kind as well as cash donations. For example, a contribution of $2,000 or the donation of team jerseys with a fair market value of $2,000 would be treated equally. Sponsorship categories are designed to be flexible, making sponsorship available to a wide range of individuals, businesses and organizations.
